Zeenat Aman

Zeenat Aman born on November 19, 1951, is an Indian actress who has boldly appeared in Bollywood films mainly in 1970s and 1980s. This was Zeenat who made the bollywood actresses to look like Western heroine. Her Father, Amanullah Khan was Muslim and mother, Scinda was Hindu. Her father was one of the writers for the blockbuster movies of Mughal-e-Azam and Pakeezah. Being graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai Aman went to Southern California University, Los Angeles for further studies on student aid.

When she returned to India, she first took a job as a journalist for Femina and then later on moved on to modeling. One of the first few brands that she modeled for was Taj Mahal Tea and Television X Debut in 1966 exclusively. She was the second runner up in the M
iss India Contest and went on to win the Miss Asia Pacific in 1970. After doing all that successfully, Aman began her filmy career by the role in O. P. Ralhan's Hulchul in 1971 followed by Hungama (1971). The role of Aman in Hare Rama Hare Krishna won the heart of millions by the song by R. D. Burman. Aman earned a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and BFJA Award for Best Actress. Aman and Dev Anand pair was that time hit and they had done in about half a dozen of films. Then "Yaadon Ki Baaraat' (1973) garnered her with much popularity and the queen of the million hearts. In which Her hip looks, carrying a guitar, singing 'churaliya hai tumne jo dil ko' (in Asha Bhonsle's voice) stole the million hearts. In 70's she was the woman, who covered the most Hindi film magazine's cover. And in December 1974, Cine Blitz magazine was launched with Zeenat Aman on its cover, a testimony to her popularity at the time. However, she went on as the favourite cover girl of the popular magazine 'Stardust'. Aman Standed out of the crowd in Bollywood films by doing the much different roles from the one which were done by the heroines of that time.

She picked up the roles different from that of an obedient wives and lovers on screen. Aman was drawn to more unconventional roles like the girl who falls in love with her mother's one-time lover (Prem Shastra), and a woman married to a caustic cripple but involved in an extramarital relationship (Dhund). Apart form these roles she also had done, the happy hooker (Manoranjan), the disenchanted hippie (Hare Rama Hare Krishna). And then for other flavor she also looked for the more conventional films like Chori Mera Kaam, Chhaila Babu, Dostana and Lawaaris.
Later in 1978, Zeenat was garnered with the Filmfare nomination as Best Actress for the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978). This art drama by Raj Kapoor was heavely criticized as Kapoor chose to showcase Aman's sex-appeal in the film rather than its notion of the soul being more attractive than the body. In the 1980s, it became the trend for the multi-starrers films. Aman was then opted for providing the sex appeal in hero-oriented films. Inspite of this she earned the nomination for the Filmfare Best Actress nomination for her performance as a rape victim seeking justice in B. R. Chopra's Insaaf Ka Tarazu (1980). Her last role as the female lead was in the movie "Gawahi" a court room drama in 1989. Zeenat came back to the silver screen after a decade doing a cameo role in the film Bhopal Express, and she went on to do small roles in Boom (2003), Jaana... Let's Fall in Love (2006), Chaurahen (2007) & Ugly Aur Pagli (2008). Zeenat also received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Zee Cine Awards function in 2008, as a recognition of her talent & contribution to Hindi Cinema.

Zeenat married Sanjay Khan (Abbas) during the making of the film Abdullah. Soon after the pack up of the movie, she was assaulted by Sanjay and his wife Zarine during a private party at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Colaba so badly that her eye was damaged - none of the guests intervened. In 1980's she got married to Mazhar Khan and had two sons Azaan and Zahaan. Mazhar Khan died in September 1998 (renal failure). Today, Aman lives with her two sons and makes many social appearances and film awards functions, she is rarely seen on screen.

Bindu is a popular Indian actress popular during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Bindu was born on January 17 1951, to a film producer Nanubhai Desai at small village(Hanuman Bhagda) of Valsad,Gujarat. Bindu's road to success was not an easy one. With her father's demise at the young age of 13 and being the eldest daughter, the burden of earning a daily meal fell on her young, frail shoulders. Bindu was beautiful, busty and fair-skinned, sex symbol of the Hindi film industry. In Anpadh (1962), Bindu played a young college graduate. There's no way a 11-year old could have played that role. That places her birth date in dispute. Bindu actually announced her arrival on the scene as a vamp. Bindu married a Gujarati Champaklal Zaveri. Later she divorced him.

Bindu's beginning is from Kati Patang which followed by Ittefaaq (1969) and Imtihaan (1974), with her mesmerizing performances as a seductress in Imtihaan and as a nymphomaniac in Hawas (1974), left audiences asking for more. With a string of hits behind her, she successfully managed to break out of the myth that married actresses usually do not go to become sex symbols, especially in the Hindi film industry.

Bindu acting ability was seen in the films like Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films Ar
jun Pandit and Abhimaan 1973, where she won raves for playing a very sympathetic character. These roles proved Bindu a lot more than just a sex symbol in the Hindi Film Industry. She also acted in Chaitali. She proved to be just as convincing as the crippled woman in Chaitali and as the deglamourised role of wife to Ashok Kumar, in Arjun Pandit.

The sexy and hot actress bindu being 5'6" tall, was never offered roles as the leading lady. Inspite of having extremely photogenic, blessed with a flawless complexion and sharp features, this lady could not get the deserving roles. It can be so because of her marriage. Bindu was a stunning beauty in her times and looks great without the makeup also. With her voluptuous figure, great looks, stunning beauty, she could have given all the leading actresses of those time a run for their money. But unfortunately it could not.

An impending pregnancy, followed by an unfortunate miscarriage, brought about a lull in her career. And today she is sometimes seen in the roles of cynical bua, chachi, mausi. She could not stay long away from the screen and seen in the films like Hero, Biwi Ho To Aisi and Kishen Kanhaiya and with many other such movies. Bindu is leading a low-profile life and makes fewer on-screen appearances, like the one in Shola Aur Shabnam which brought to the forefront the comic trait to her as an actress. She followed this with her light performance as the tip-top chachi in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Main Hoon Na.

Bindu in her career had done various films which are as follows:

Khamoshi (1969), Gaai Aur Gori (1973), Zanjeer (1973), Kati Patang, Ittefaq, Shankar Dada, Do Raaste, Laawaris (1981), Karma (1986), Biwi Ho To Aisi(1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Aankhen (1993), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun(1994), Judwaa (1996), Ehsaas is Tarah (1998), Aunty No.1 (1998), Banarasi Babu (1998), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), Main Hoon Naa (2004), Om Shanti Om (2007), Mehbooba (2008).

MUMTAZ

Mumtaz originally of Iranian origin was born to Abdul Saleem Askari and Sardar Shadi Habib Agha in Bombay, India, on July 31, 1947. She entered Bollywood at the early age of twelve.
When asked which performances she is most proud of: "I was okay, nothing great at all. I liked Khilona that fetched me the Filmfare Best Actress Award. I also liked myself in Roop Tera Mastana, Aaina and Tere Mere Sapne. I should have won the Best Actress Award for Tere Mere Sapne. I really deserved it. Instead it went to Asha Parekh for Kati Patang in which she wore white and stood in front of piano doing precious little. Khair, jaane do (let it go). God has given me so much."

Mumtaz married millionaire Mayur Madhvani on May 29, 1974. They have two daughters Natasha and Tanya. Natasha, the elder daughter, married actor Fardeen Khan, son of Feroz Khan, in a lavish ceremony, in December 2005. In June 2008, she was honored for her "Achievement in Indian Cinema" by the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) in Bangkok.

She started in films by accepting some small roles in big films like Mujhe Jeene Do and big roles in small budgeted stunt films like Boxer, Samson, Tarzan, and King Kong. In the 1960s, she starred in as many as 16 action films with freestyle wrestler Dara Singh and was labelled as a stunt film heroine. She first gained attention in a supporting role as a vamp in the A grade color hit film Mere Sanam (1965). The memorable sexy song yeh hai reshmai was picturized on her. The success of the film led to another sizzling song "Aye dushman jaan" in another big-budget film Patthar Ke Sanam.

Finally, she gained major attention when she played one of Dilip Kumar's leading ladies in Ram Aur Shyam (1967). The film became one of the top hits of the year, and she received her first Filmfare nomination as Best Supporting Actress. Suddenly, Mumtaz was flooded with offers, but still not for major leading lady roles. She supported Sharmila Tagore in several films in the late 1960s, such as for Saawan Ki Ghata, Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi, and Mere Humdum Mere Dost. She had a memorable song and dance number ("Aaj kal tere mere") with her then-boyfriend Shammi Kapoor in the hit film Brahmachari (1968).

She acted in over a hundred films in a career that spanned just 12 years. She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for one of her favorite films Khilona in 1970, and she was "very happy that the audience accepted her in an emotional role." Mumtaz starred in many movies with Feroz Khan and her other popular pairing have been with great actors like Jeetendra and Rajesh Khanna. She has also acted with Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar and other top heroes of her era.

She quit acting after her appearance in Aaina (1977) which was a flop, even though it had co-starred Rajesh Khanna and was directed by famous director Kailasam Balachander. After that, she left films for marriage to a millionaire and only returned for one final film appearance 12 years later in the 1989 film Aandhiyan, which flopped and she turned down other film offers. In 1996 she received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mumtaz had done a great collection of films in her career which are as follows:

Who is considered as a very serious about his work. I also tried to look my self as a blind lady infront of the mirror. There is a lot rehersal work behind the best performance of this character in the film. I also feel glad about when I was praised by my audience and when I got awarded for the best actress.’

Urmila Matondkar in Bhoot

But ‘bhoot’ needed some extra work and efforts. In this film while shooting some of the shots my neck veins were visible. I have to relax and had to take leave from shooting for some time for getting me refreshed, after doing the character in the Bhoot. Rekhaji has also praised me for my work in the film Bhoot.’

Neil reached Tihar around 2 in the afternoon with his co-star Manoj Bajpai, director Madhur Bhandarkar and music composer Shamir Tandon. Neil, Manoj and Madhur were immediately recognized and mobbed by the inmates. Getting emotional Neil says, “Every barrack has a television with 20 channels. So they had seen our movies. What I saw in their eyes was an amazing pain. We had taken along a small orchestra. Shamir Tandon and all of us sang Lataji’s Daata sun le maula sun le, followed by Kitne ajeeb rishte hain yahan par and Sikandar from Madhur’s Page 3. When we sang Sikandar the prisoners burst into a dance. This was the only time I saw them really let go of themselves.”

I requested the DG of police to please free them. He listened to me, allowed me to enter the big cage and free the birds personally. It was the most liberating experience of my life.”

Mugdha and others teased him a lot by giving him a new nick name of a 'gora'. Shahid Kapoor needs better butt for better looks!

Shahid Kapoor seems to need better butt for better looks!
He always needs to wear bum bags since his first film in 2003, to make his rear look in better shape. Shahid, who has worked lot, and is still working, on achieving a good physique, seems still not to be very confident about his butt.

So, in order to make his hips look nice and round like other stars, he uses a bum bag, which is like a small pouch like thing secured with a zipper and is worn at the waist.

Shahid doesn’t wear these bums at home, he only needs to wear them during film shoots because he is afraid his near-flat butt will look bad when others see at them.
